Post-operative pain is often a concern for patients undergoing an invasive procedure. The patient, along with their anesthesia provider and surgeon, will discuss a plan for post-operative pain management. NCAP provides 24-hour physician coverage to Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies and Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center for continuous epidural analgesia and management of intravenous pain medications.
An Anesthesiologist visits patients with continuous epidurals each post-operative day while the catheter is in place and the pain medication is being administered. The physician will evaluate the effectiveness of the epidural, the dosage of the medication, and monitor any adverse reactions the patient may have.
Our goal is to provide patients the pain management they need so they are better able to recover, rehabilitate and get back to the quality of life they enjoy.
